James Talarico: Absolutely. We have masked men in unmarked vehicles kidnapping people off our street here in Texas, and federal agents murdering our neighbors in cold blood like Lorenzo Salgado in Houston.

Q: Are you surprised by the scale of your victory?
James Talarico: I am. We saw incredible momentum on the ground all over Texas — a coalition coming together of first-time voters, young voters, and three-time Trump voters.
James Talarico: This win is the size of Texas, which means we have a mandate the size of Texas. This election was about chasing a vision of what our state can be.
James Talarico: We have to crack down on these big data center companies taking advantage of Texas communities.
