This war in Iran is a disaster
This war is killing Americans and making everything more expensive.
We’re closing schools and hospitals in this country so we can bomb schools and hospitals in other countries.
There’s never enough money for education and healthcare, but there’s always enough money for war.
Corrupt politicians are profiting off a corrupt war, and Texans are literally paying the price.
Gas prices are skyrocketing. Diesel is more expensive than it’s ever been. Gas stations in Texas are running out.
Everything you buy is shipped by diesel. When the price of diesel is up, the price of everything is up. Produce. Groceries. Things you buy online.
This war is killing Americans, raising gas and diesel prices, and making everything more expensive.
It’s a moral and economic crisis. And not a single American voted for it. In fact, in the last election, Texans voted to end the forever wars.
We must end this corrupt war for our service members, for our farmers, and for every American who is struggling to afford the basics.
Texans need relief now.
Every time you fill your car up, you’re paying a hidden tax. It’s called the federal gas tax. I’m proposing we suspend it — dropping the price of gas by 18 cents a gallon.
But that’s not all. I want to suspend the federal diesel tax, too. If your vehicle runs on diesel, you’ll save up to $170 a year. And when diesel gets cheaper, shipping gets cheaper — and then everything gets cheaper for everyone.
It’s not enough on its own — but suspending the federal gas tax puts more than $2 billion into Texans’ pockets, while we work to end this war.

Those at the top who profit off our rigged economy are spending a fortune to install Ken Paxton in the U.S. Senate. Paxton and his super PACs are up to nearly $200 million in spending against James, and it keeps growing by the day.
