David vs. Goliath

Super PAC and dark money spending against us has officially crossed $250 million. It just keeps coming.

It’s hard to really comprehend that amount of money. So I want to try to put it in context for you.

It’s nearly six times what Republican outside groups spent in the 2024 Texas Senate race.

Senate Republicans’ super PAC — Senate Leadership Fund — is spending more in Texas than anywhere else. Their spending here is roughly the same as their next four biggest expenditures combined. Yes, we are up against about the same as Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, and Maine combined.

The amount our opponents spent on just advertising in the last two weeks alone is more than what we raised in all three months of the third quarter.

If you want to stop billionaires from buying this race — and with it the Senate majority — then I need you to please consider making a contribution. We’re spending money as fast as we can raise it just to stay competitive, so every dollar helps.

This race reminds me of that story in the Bible about a shepherd boy who goes up against a giant.

For 40 days before the fight, Goliath teases and taunts. And on the day of the fight, Goliath shows up in full armor. He’s carrying so many weapons he needs someone else to carry his shield.

We’re going up against our own Goliaths — the billionaire mega-donors, the crooked politicians, the entire Washington establishment.

Their power is real. But so is ours.

David wasn’t as big or as strong as Goliath. He didn’t have as many weapons. But he had hope. And he had a slingshot.

You are my slingshot. The people of Texas are my slingshot. And if we all do our part, then on November 3rd, these Goliaths won’t know what hit ‘em.

Please help us defeat the billionaires and corporate mega-donors trying to buy this race by making a contribution today. Our power comes from all of us taking action to accomplish something as historic as flipping Texas.
