The powers that ought to be
This election is a battle between the powers that be and the powers that ought to be.
We are the underdogs — we’re literally going up against the richest man in the world.
This weekend is the last play of the last drive. We’re fourth and goal, and whether we win or lose depends on how we come together as a team to execute.
So if there was ever a moment our movement needed a Hail Mary, it’s right now.
If you’re one of our 60,000+ volunteers knocking doors and talking to your neighbors in Texas this weekend, or if you’re among the hundreds of thousands of people who have chipped in recently, then I just want to say thank you. You’re doing exactly what this movement needs to make history on Tuesday.
If you’re still looking for how you can make the biggest impact on Tuesday’s outcome, then I’m asking you to do one of two things: Volunteer to turn out Texans or donate any amount to make sure our volunteers have every resource they need.
Look, the powers that be have their candidate. They’ve already bought and paid for Ken Paxton, who is more than happy to hide behind dark money.
He’s cancelling events. He’s using AI robots to call voters instead of volunteers. And he’s letting super PAC attacks do the talking for him.
The contrast couldn’t be starker.
We’re standing with the powers that ought to be — the teachers and nurses, the farmers and ranchers. The grandmother facing eviction. The little boy waking up in the middle of the night from the lights of a data center. The small business owner struggling to keep the family restaurant open.
Those Texans are my team. I’m in this race for them. I want to be a senator for every Texan who can’t afford one.
You wanna know why they’re spending $300 million against me? Because I don’t take their corporate PAC money and I never will. I don’t work for them. I work for you.
They know I’ll ban corporate PACs and super PACs so billionaires can’t buy our elections.
They know I’ll ban members of Congress in both parties from trading stocks and enriching themselves.
They know I’ll ban gerrymandering nationwide – in red states and blue states.
And they know I’ll pass term limits to show their puppet politicians the door.
They may have the money, but we have the majority.
Big Money is powerful, but it is nothing compared to People Power.
So please, take action today — not tomorrow, or next week. Today.
